Need for change in North Yorkshire

North Yorkshire County Council and York Council have to discuss a new waste disposal strategy after it was revealed that the Councils desperately needed to change their policies relating to the removal and disposal of the waste produced in this area.

However, there are fears that the radical plans that the councils have for their waste disposal is going to cause huge implications on the future generations who live in the area and they are being urged to think carefully before making any radical decisions about what should happen to their waste.

There are currently plans to construct a multi million pound waste incinerators in the area, however there are people who are both for and against these plans. The discussions about the new waste disposal policies as well as the incinerator will be discussed at a meeting later this month with a variety of specialists in the field of waste management being in attendance.

The residents of North Yorkshire will have a chance to discuss what their views are at a later consultation period once the councils have decided on a number of alternative plans of action.
