Microchipping our bins

According to the latest reports, the Communities and Local Government minister, Eric Pickles is backing the scheme which in order to encourage individuals to recycle, would see their bins being micro chipped. The household bins would be fitted within microchips in order to find out where they are collected and how much they weigh on collection. This is also to discourage individuals from throwing away items which can easily be recycled.

We may already think that we live in an environment which is too closely monitored and that the Big Brother culture has gone on long enough, however, in order to successfully achieve the targets set by government, there needs to be a serious overhaul of how we look at recycling in this country and how we are to tackle the issue of waste management.

Waste management is big business in the UK with many householders as well as various types of businesses being unsure about what they can and cannot put into their waste disposal. Waste management companies ensure the smooth running of waste removal systems in various locations to ensure that there is no back up of waste.
