Sorting through your rubbish
If you wonder where the rubbish that you dispose of goes once it has been collected from your home, you may be surprised to know that a large amount of household waste is often send to a sorting facilities where there are individuals going through to waste to ensure that there are no items which are being thrown away that could possibly be recycled.
Recycling is becoming big business in the UK with many households now being encouraged to participate through schemes with their local councils and authorities. In order to encourage those living within the borough to recycle, different coloured bins and boxes have been distributed in the hope that this may boost the number of people recycling.
However, when you consider the amount of waste we produce, along with the amount that is recycled, Britain is fall way behind its European counter parts. Countries such as Germany and the Netherlands are very keen on recycling and we could learn a lot from the methods and techniques which are used to encourage the recycling of all sorts of different types of waste.
